Before a person can own or start his own company, a person must have the experience in the field or an ample knowledge about it. Even though fresh graduates can already start their own business, it still pays to have an experience in the business to be started. The likelihood of being very successful in a business venture lies partly on the experience that a person has towards the business. Those that already have a previous work experience would have the necessary capital to start big thus increasing the success rate.

Bob Gerberg Jr. is certainly an example for this one. Before he ventured on his own business, he worked first for several companies where he was able to gain valuable experiences. Those experiences were used to make his transition from being an employee to owner much easier and more effective. Bob Gerberg’s time with his previous works also made him a more mature individual towards work thus creating a disciplined attitude for him. It can certainly make a difference to gain valuable knowledge in plans of going solo in business.

One of the previous work experiences of Bob Gerberg Jr. is with Bausch & Lomb. In this respected healthcare company in the world, Bob Gerberg worked as an Account Executive under the Personal Products Division. As the company’s account executive, Gerberg became the top area producer at the time when the environment was the most competitive in the history of the company. Gerberg was also successful in developing and coordinating for new products, advertising, and customer services. In his time here, Bob Gerberg Jr. was respected at all levels due to his work ethic.

Bob Gerberg ended his tenure with Bausch & Lomb after more than three years to focus on his MBA in Finance and Marketing. He took up his Master of Business Administration from the University of Colorado at Boulder – Leeds School of Business. After finishing this one, he then worked as the President of Princeton/Masters Press, Inc. and was responsible in the publishing of one most successful job hunting books during the 1990s. His management skills was further honed here which really helped in his next career.

Realizing that he already has the ample knowledge to own a company, Gerberg cut ties with Princeton/Masters Press and established his own company, the Advanced Career Technologies, Ltd. This company focuses on recruitment process using different technologies to make the procedures much easier.

The success of Gerberg’s venture to have his own company can be well attributed to his previous work experience.
